What made you interested in law as a Career?
I have always enjoyed reading, writing, and helping others, and I constantly find myself in a position where someone is coming to me for advice. After working as a paralegal, I felt like I had the temperament and skills necessary to succeed in law school and become an attorney.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?
Read, listen to music, and rewatch Game of Thrones.
What have you enjoyed most about Cullen and Dykman’s program so far?
Having the opportunity to work on assignments from different practice groups and discover new areas of law that I never considered.
What academic/professional achievement are you most proud of?
Being elected as Student Bar Association Part-Time Vice President for the second year in a row. I take great pride in being a leader amongst my colleagues and am incredibly honored that they trust me to represent them. Over the last year, I have worked to increase part-time student participation on campus and have successfully convinced my classmates to join more student organizations and their E-Boards.
Favorite Quote?
“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.” – Nelson Mandela
What advice do you have for prospective Summer Associates/Fellows?
Don’t be afraid to ask for help! At times, the legal field can be incredibly intimidating, but everyone has to start somewhere, and you won’t know what you don’t know unless you are open to asking questions.
