Session Description:
This engaging roundtable session will feature four lightning-fast 15-minute intervals that cover critical issues in the litigation landscape: facial recognition technology, the weaponization of discovery, gait analysis, and litigation funding. Drawing inspiration from George Orwell’s “1984,” the presenters will explore whether the rise of facial recognition technology signals a move toward an Orwellian future of constant surveillance. They will also address how abusive discovery tactics have become the new norm, converting traditional fact-finding into a tactical tool with rampant abuses. In addition, attendees will learn how gait analysis can significantly impact trip and fall cases, revealing insights that can help claims professionals navigate these complex scenarios effectively.
