David Curatolo Joins Cullen and Dykman LLP as Of Counsel, Bringing 15+ Years of Banking and Financial Services Experience
November 12, 2024Uniondale, New York – Cullen and Dykman LLP is pleased to announce that David Curatolo has joined the firm as Of Counsel in the Banking and Financial Services department. With over 15 years of experience, David provides strategic legal counsel to banks and financial institutions, specializing in regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and operational implementation.
Prior to joining the firm, David served as Senior Vice President and Senior Deputy General Counsel at Flagstar Bank. There, he led legal efforts in significant transactions, including the 2023 acquisition of Signature Bank and the 2022 merger of Flagstar Bancorp, Inc. into New York Community Bancorp, Inc. He also managed operational transitions during Flagstar’s national rebranding and spearheaded innovations in banking services, ensuring regulatory compliance while driving growth.
David's expertise spans key banking functions, including deposit operations, treasury management, and digital banking. His extensive background includes his role at New York Community Bancorp, where he guided capital actions and handled governance matters, regulatory filings, and contract reviews and negotiations. His practical, business-oriented legal strategies help clients navigate complex regulatory landscapes and achieve their strategic goals.
