Cullen and Dykman Welcomes Michael DiSiena as Partner in Higher Education Practice Group
July 23, 2024Albany, New York – Cullen and Dykman LLP is pleased to announce that Michael DiSiena has joined the firm as a partner in the firm’s Higher Education practice group. Before joining Cullen and Dykman, Michael served as general counsel for Excelsior University.
Michael brings significant experience across the broad swath of legal issues confronting higher education institutions. In his new role with Cullen and Dykman, Michael’s counsel to our higher education clients will extend to matters including regulatory compliance, governance, accreditation, strategic transactions, risk management, and policy development, furthering the firm’s range in these key areas.
Michael began his legal career with the New York State Legislative Bill Drafting Commission, authoring legislation on behalf of members and administrative agencies. This experience provides added insight as academic institutions work to interpret and implement practical compliance structures responsive to numerous rules and authorities.

Michael earned his J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law and his B.A. from Siena College. He is admitted to practice in New York.
