Attorneys Matthew G. Roseman, Elizabeth M. Aboulafia, and Bonnie Pollack Honored at Global M&A Network’s 12th Annual Turnaround Atlas Awards
January 21, 2021Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights attorneys, Matthew G. Roseman, Elizabeth M. Aboulafia, and Bonnie Pollack will be honored at Global M&A Network’s 12th Annual Turnaround Atlas Awards. The ceremony will be held virtually from January 21st to the 22nd. The attorneys received the "Best Value-Creating Transactions of the Year" award under the Impact/Non-Profit subsection for their work representing The College of New Rochelle, a private Catholic college with its main campus in New Rochelle, New York, in connection with the sale of the College of New Rochelle’s 15-acre historic campus in Westchester County. The firm successfully represented the College as a debtor in its chapter 11 bankruptcy case in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York and obtained confirmation of a chapter 11 plan of liquidation following the conclusion of the sale. The campus was sold to the Trustees of the Masonic Hall and Asylum Fund for $32 million following a spirited auction conducted in November 2019. The sale was approved by the Bankruptcy Court as part of CNR’s chapter 11 case on November 25, 2019.
