Douglas J. Bohn is a partner in the firm’s Litigation department. An experienced trial attorney, Douglas has litigated cases in federal and state courts throughout the United States. He also has considerable experience briefing and arguing appellate cases in federal and state courts of appeal.
Douglas' practice focuses on defending utilities and equipment companies in asbestos litigation. He also has significant experience in mass tort and product liability cases, which includes serving as national liaison counsel in industry-wide liability lawsuits and other tort and insurance defense matters. In addition to representing clients in trial and appellate litigation, Douglas also counsels clients regarding risk management and avoidance. Further, he has significant experience in mediation, arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution (ADR) proceedings nationwide.
Douglas is also experienced in commercial and utilities litigation, business disputes, insurance litigation, professional liability claims, constitutional law, banking, and real estate. He has regularly handled cases involving contract disputes, construction projects, coverage disputes, errors and omissions claims, employment issues, mortgage disputes, commercial and residential lending, partnership law, civil rights, and municipal issues.
Douglas is active in the community. He is a director and coach for the Garden City Centennials Soccer Board and Garden City Athletic Association. He has served on numerous committees for the Garden City School Board, including the insurance committee and legislative affairs committee.
